K’ANACHA SCRAPBOOK PROJECT

The K’anacha group came up with the idea of creating a scrapbook of photos and memories that would tell the story of the residential school experience and its impact on families and community. In addition, a short film has been made featuring community elders and the Han Singers telling of their experiences at residential school. One of the project goals is to film the making of the scrapbook and capture the stories on film. If you have photos or other memories (journal entries, letters, creative writing, etc) that you would like to contribute, or if you would like to be involved with the film or in any other way, please feel free to call Sharon Moore at 993-7150.
