SUMMARY:Ch’ëdähdëk / Forty Mile Consultation
DESCRIPTION:🎤 Drin Hǫzǫ Citizens\, sadly back in May 2023\, Ch’ëdähdëk / Forty Mile suffered an ice-jam flood\, causing significant damage to its buildings\, access trails\, work camp\, campground\, and landscape. \nA place for spending time with family\, hunting\, berry-picking and connecting with traditions\, we want to hear from you as we explore how to repair and conserve this place and its role in the Tr’ondëk-Klondike UNESCO World Heritage Site. \nThis area of land is held with high respect. Our generations past used these lands for future generations\, so we need to rebuild and by using these lands we are respecting it like our Elders want us too’ – Debbie Nagano\, Director of Heritage. \n♨️ Next Friday\, June 14 come join us for a BBQ\, a presentation on what’s happening\, and discussions about what’s most important to you at Ch’ëdähdëk / Forty Mile and what our next steps could be. BBQ begins at 4:30pm\, and presentations will commence at 5:30pm. Mähsį cho. We hope to see you there.
