Please see our full schedule below with a host of meet ups in town from Monday\, November 17 to Saturday\, November 22. \n \nDetails of events.  \nMonday  \nWellness Outreach Team – Circle of Care: Exploring Treatment Options for Our People \nOur presentation will cover the process by which citizens access treatment\, available treatment options\, testimonials from individuals who have participated in treatment programs\, local resources\, aftercare services\, and live Zoom sessions with representatives from various treatment centers to share what their facilities offer. \nTuesday \nJëje Zho Outreach Team – Remembrance Fire & Harm Reduction \nHarm Reduction and Remembrance Fire with a Hotdog Roast. This will include supplies to make and display “tokens of remembrance” to remember those we have lost to Addiction\, Harm Reduction information training and supplies\, and access to Mobile Outreach supplies. \nWednesday \nNi’ehłyat\, Nidähjì’ Team \nCreating Christmas animal ornaments together. There will be a family treatment information table and an Outreach Worker for any questions families may have about family treatment. \nThursday \nWomen’s Shelter – Supporting Loved Ones Struggling with Substance Use \nWhen it comes to supporting a loved one struggling with substance use\, we all have our own unique skills. And\, although remote\, our community\, the land\, and people are well-resourced in many ways. What has worked for you when supporting someone? Let’s share and build our skills together. Join us for a warm meal\, conversation\, and door prizes. \nFriday \nDesire Rioux (Mental Health Nurse) – Wired for More: Understanding ADHD\, Autism\, and Addiction to Better Support the Neurodivergent Brain \nPresentation with group discussion exploring ways to understand and support neurodivergent wiring—particularly ADHD and autism—as it relates to substance use and addiction. \nSaturday \nThe Willow Foundation is hosting 2 events on Saturday Nov. 22nd \n1:30 pm – 4:30 pm  \nCreating Community Connection part 1 – Four Directions \nDuring the afternoon session the Willow Foundation will run 4 stations to introduce the Community to 4 directions/initiatives that the organization is focusing on. These stations or directions will be informative and include some practical as well as hands on activities. Come on out and enjoy an afternoon with us! \n 7 pm – 10pm – \nCreating Community Connection – Part 2 -Speed Friendship and Sober Social \nThe evening session is focused on the importance of connection as it relates to mental health and addiction. DESCRIPTION:We invite TH Citizens to attend the upcoming Territorial Election Forum in Dawson\, scheduled for Monday\, October 27\, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Äłät Nëhëjël. \nWe are pleased to confirm the participation of both the NDP and Yukon Party leaders. This forum will centre on matters of particular importance to the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Government and its citizens within the traditional territory. In recognition of this focus\, attendance will be respectfully limited to Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in citizens and Jëje-in. Mähsį cho for your understanding. \nThe evening will feature a series of pre-determined questions posed by moderators\, followed by an open question-and-answer session with community members. DESCRIPTION:Our Mobile Outreach initiative brings together the Wellness Team and Jëje Zho Outreach Workers to support community members in need. Together\, we provide harm reduction supplies and essentials like water\, food\, and hygiene products. You may have seen us over the summer at the festivals and this session will gives you an opportunity to let us know how you think the Mobile Outreach can continue to best serve the community. By meeting people where they’re at\, we’re able to offer not only practical supplies but also care\, connection\, and support when it’s needed most. \nWe will be hosting the session at the Jëje Zho on October 16th at 4:00 PM\, beverages and dinner will be provided. We have a list of questions to inspire conversation. However\, we are open to any suggestions that the community brings forward. SUMMARY:Log Cabin Building Course
DESCRIPTION:Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and IPAC (Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas) is providing an opportunity for TH citizens to participate in a log cabin building workshop. The plan is to have the finished cabin on the traditional territory for citizens and staff to experience outings that contribute to stewardship and reconnection to culture.  \n Log Cabin Level 1 will be tentatively offered October 16-22\, 2025. The level 1 will be an Introduction to dovetail construction with theory modules. What is dovetail? More straight forward than the timber frame\, it doesn’t require too many specialised tools and the style reflects our history on the land.  \nThe Log Cabin Level 2 course  will be offered at a later date to complete the construction. There will be updates on the Yukon River Salmon stocks\, on what we have been doing here at Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in\, and what could be done for Tr’ojà’ in the future.\nCoffee\, tea\, and snacks will be provided.
