DESCRIPTION:Applications for the next TH Trust disbursement grant are now open.\n.\nThe Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Trust recently made a fifth disbursement in the total amount of in the amount of $1\,818\,026.00. This sum will be equally distributed among all living Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Citizens\, in the form of a $1\,400.00 grant that all Citizens can receive.\n.\nYour household will receive an information package and application form in the mail shortly. You can complete and send back the paper form to the mailing address provided in your package\, or scan and email it to disbursements@trondek.ca. SUMMARY:Youth Recreation Camp: January 18-20\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Youth Recreation Camp is happening January 18-20 at Nänkäk Ch’ëholay (R-22)! \nAll youth ages 12-18 are invited to come get out on the land\, learn new skills\, and have some fun. We will meet at K’äjit-in Zho on January 18\, 2025 at 10:00 am with all of their belongings ready to go. We will be returning to town 1:00 pm on Monday January 20\, 2025. We will plan to drop off youth at their homes or call parents to pick them up K’äjit-in Zho. \nOur orientation meeting and gear check is on Wednesday\, January 15 at the K’äjit-in Zho starting at 5:00.  This is essential\, as we need to ensure that we have the proper equipment\, and everyone knows what is expected of them. \nWe will be doing indoor and outdoor activities such as team building games\, snaring rabbits\, making spruce pitch\, snowshoeing and cross-country shelter building\, Han language games\, bingo\, scary stories around the fire\, and more. \nMore information and a registration form is available here.  \nFor questions\, drop by K’äjit-In Zho or call Dillan Taylor at (867) 993-7100 ext. 285.

DESCRIPTION:Our friends Joe Migwans and Dianne Smith are back to lead us in a nurturing circle\, focused on working through grief\, trauma\, and loss. Workshops will take place at the Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre on Tuesday\, January 28\, Wednesday\, January 29\, and Thursday\, January 30\, running from 2:30-8:00 pm each day. All are invited to come share. Dinner and snacks will be served\, and we will cap off each evening with some crafting led by Dolores Scheffen.
