SUMMARY:Citizen Consultation: Update on the Dawson City Sewage Lagoon
DESCRIPTION:The City of Dawson\, Yukon Government\, and Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in have a cooperative working group exploring possibilities for a new sewage lagoon for Dawson. Working together\, they have created a background primer on sewage lagoons and their impact on our ecology\, economy\, and community development plans. You can find it here. \nThe working group has also created an interactive map of proposed locations for a new sewage lagoon for Dawson\, with important heritage\, harvest\, and economic development areas clearly labelled. You can find it here. \n\n TH citizens please join us Monday\, February 24 at 5:00 pm for a Citizen Consultation on the Dawson City Sewage Lagoon.\nThe consultation will take place at Äłät Nëhëjël. Dinner will be provided.\n\nPlease take a moment to have a look at the details of this important plan for key infrastructure\, and stay tuned for more information on times and locations of community meetings.
