SUMMARY:Log Cabin Building Course
DESCRIPTION:Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in and IPAC (Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas) is providing an opportunity for TH citizens to participate in a log cabin building workshop. The plan is to have the finished cabin on the traditional territory for citizens and staff to experience outings that contribute to stewardship and reconnection to culture.  \n Log Cabin Level 1 will be tentatively offered October 16-22\, 2025. The level 1 will be an Introduction to dovetail construction with theory modules. What is dovetail? More straight forward than the timber frame\, it doesn’t require too many specialised tools and the style reflects our history on the land.  \nThe Log Cabin Level 2 course  will be offered at a later date to complete the construction.
