DESCRIPTION:Attention Dawson\n\n\n\nThe non-insured health benefits (NIHB) Navigator will be in Dawson and available for one on one appointments Wednesday\, May 21 and Thursday\, May 22.\n\n\nAppointments are available from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm.\n*\nIf you would like to make an appointment\, please call (867) 993-7100 ext. 164 or stop by the Chief John Jonas Centre.\n\n*\n\nThe navigator provides eligible First Nations and Inuit people with coverage for medically necessary health services:\n-Prescription and over-the-counter drugs\n-Dental care\n-Vision care\n-Medical supplies/equipment\n-Medical transportation\n-Mental health counselling\n*\n\n\nThe navigator can help you:\n-Access and understand the NIHB program and delivery\n-Advocate for your empowerment and voice in your health decisions\n-With reimbursement requests and appeal for denied benefits\n-Identify issues and barriers to improve program access\, delivery and related health services\n-Communicate with health care providers\n-Navigate the healthcare system in a culturally sensitive way that aligns with your traditional healing practices\n*\n\n\nPlease bring all the relevant documents to your appointment with the NIHB Navigator.\n*\n\n\nNeed a ride?
