Nurturing the Circle 3 Day Event

In this 3-day event, join Diane Smith and Joe Migwams as we move through grief, trauma, and loss together.

Dianne Smith Elder from Kwanlin dun First Nation,

Has worked for many years passing on her teachings from her Parents and grand parents, she has worked for Traditional parenting program, was a facilitator for healing workshops, also working with Spiritual Mental wellness at Jackson Lake healing camp.

She is well experience in cultural activities that support participants in there healing.

“It’s a beautiful thing to see others heal through their connection with elders on the land!” says Dianne

 

 

 

Joe Migwans is Ojibway, Joe has been on his healing Journey since 1984. Joe’s education and experience has been mainly been through cultural teachings with many Elders in Canada but mainly the Yukon, with lived experience being his greatest teacher. Lumps, cuts, bruises that hurt to the core, never to touch the flames again.

He is knowledgeable with traditional philosophy First Nations Healing teachings and land based wellness.

Joe is experienced in facilitating Wellness groups working with, Grief, Loss, and addictions. He has co-facilitated Trauma informed group therapy with a clinical therapist. Reconnection to culture and traditional values is a highly recommended by Elders to heal the trauma that was done to our families of the past. With Joe you will always be in good hands he is fun, respectful, caring and kind.
