The Aboriginal Community Safety Planning Initiative (ACSPI) is here to support Indigenous communities in tackling local safety and crime prevention concerns, with the bigger goal of building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. With ACSPI’s tools, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in are taking a close look at our own community’s needs and priorities. Together, we’re creating a holistic plan—rooted in Dënezhu values—that will help our Citizens enjoy safer homes, healthier lives, and a stronger sense of community.
Be part of the core group and work together to:
Define a community vision for long-term safety and wellness.
Identify community priorities, challenges, assets and strengths.
Collaborate with community partners to implement projects related to community safety.
Apply for funding through the Aboriginal Community Safety Development Contribution Program.
For full details, see the official ACSPI page here.
You can also watch a video here on how it all works.
