Join us at the Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre for a Gallery event featuring work by this month’s DZCC Artist in Residence, Shara Layne Kearney, a local resident and Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in employee. This free event will be held inside the DZCC Theatre from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, Aug 30.

Kearney is Mi’k maq artist who was born and raised in the Yukon. She uses her art to reconnect with the land and her heritage and sees art making as a way to balance between living in both an indigenous and western world. She’s passionate about helping in the resurgence of traditional practices and teachings through many art forms.
