Drin Tr’ojà’- Salmon Day

We welcome all community members to join us for Drin Tr’ojà’- Salmon Day on Wednesday, October 15 at the Dänojà’ Zho Cultural Centre. Elders Tea will take place from 3:30pm to 5pm followed by an open public session from 5pm to 7pm.

This is an opportunity to have direct face to face engagement with Department of Fisheries and Oceans, the Yukon Salmon Sub Committee, the Pacific Salmon Foundation, and ourselves the Fish and Wildlife branch of the Natural Resources Department concerning Salmon (both Chinook and Chum). There will be updates on the Yukon River Salmon stocks, on what we have been doing here at Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in, and what could be done for Tr’ojà’ in the future.
