Red Dress Day is Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
All community members are invited to gather in remembrance of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and two spirit people.
The day will begin at 10:00 am with a Sacred Fire outside of TH Hall, followed by a Vigil Walk at 11:00 am. The walk will go along Front Street to the Bunkhouse, to Albert Street and then back to TH Hall where we will have lunch.
A red hand printing station will be outside by the sacred fire for those who wish to put a red handprint on their face.
For those interested in making red dress pins, there will be a workshop at the Chief John Jonas Centre on April 29 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
Please join for any or all of the scheduled activities on this significant day.
