International Overdose Awareness Day is on Monday, August 31. 
Join us as we gather to support the fighters, admire the survivors and honor those who have been taken too soon.
We encourage community to wear purple in honor of the day and to raise awareness.
The schedule of events at the Chief John Jonas Centre is as follows:
9:00- 11:00 am
Morning tea, coffee and bannock
11:00 am -1:00 pm
Free community BBQ
12:00 – 2:00 pm
Overdose and Naloxone Training with Des Rioux, Mental Health Nurse
5:00 pm – 12:00 am
The Community Outreach Vehicle will be in operation.
A heart garden will also be set up at the CJJC to honor those we’ve lost.
